Trick Or Treating

Here they are all in disguise. Lilly helpin' make sure her Gibby can see alright...just like a sister should. :)

We got our trick or treating in early this year.  We went downtown where the businesses were passing out candy on the 29th.  They were all three so darn cute as they walked down the sidewalk.

Gibson wasn't shy a bit about asking for candy.  No one had to tell him what to do when he saw the basket full of candy and had and empty bucket in his own hands.

 Owen, the fire breathing dragon.
Lilly, the butterfly, cheesin' sweet with Gibson, the alligator. Oh, but wait, Gibby couldn't see....

There.

Night #2 Trick or Treating: We made our rounds to visit some family and friends.  Owen made a wardrobe change at Mimi and Papa's house.  The costume arrived in the mail just in the nick of time.  Owen LOVED everything about the costume--especially the big muscles.

We stopped to visit the Rodriguez family. We are blessed to have such sweet friends.

Gibson walking around in his lil' costume made my heart melt just a little every time I looked at him. I wish everyone could have seen him. Little blessings.

Freezing Corn

Owen was my helping yestertady afternoon prepping 100 ears of corn for freezing!  His job was to transfers the ears from one sink to the other and then onto the the towel to drain.  When I was cutting the corn off the cob, he helped transfer the kernels from the cutting board to the bowl.

When Gibby woke from his nap, he thought he would like to help too.  He seriously walked around with one ear in his mouth and one in his hand for at least 30 minutes...and cried hard when I took them from him to pitch outside.

Wild Blackberry Picking: Take 1

We set out one morning to go pick wild blackberries in our woods--complete with making little baskets to put them in.  Sadly, they weren't ripe yet and we were rained out.  But we haven't lost hope.  We are saving our baskets for another day--a sunny one with ripe berries :)

Matching girls

I made Lilly and her Baby Green matching outfits.  Lilly's excitement could hardly be contained when I told her what I was making.  She sat and watched me sew almost the whole time--asking bazillions of questions and talking a mile a minute.

She wanted to pose with her baby for a picture.

And show me how she twirls spins (she informed me it wasn't twirling, it was spinning).

And a few more cute poses she wanted me to capture. :)
