Hands and Feet

Owen has discovered his feet! He likes to try to suck on his toes. The changing table is his favorite spot to grab his feet and put them in his mouth....it must be something that comes with freedom from clothing!

More eating tales

Owen and Mommy have a great time talking and laughing together at eating time. The other day I was feeding him some squash/rice and he thought it was funny to buzz his lips to spray the food back out of his mouth. He was smiling and squealing and talking about his new discovery. Then just as I gave him another spoon full, a giant sneeze erupted from little Owen. I started laughing at the sight of orange puree spraying out of his mouth with such sudden force. Owen's response was priceless: He smiled with bright eyes, gave a little giggle, then tried to reinact his sneeze with a fake one!! It was the sweetest thing ever!!

First Tastes...

Last week we started Owen on solid foods! Jimmy gave him his first tastes of rice cereal. Owen was really funny about it...making silly faces, trying to grab the spoon and shove it in his mouth, making funny noises. It has been fun trying different foods. So far, Owen has been a great eater! He has had carrots, bananas, butternut squash, and sweet vegetable medley (carrots, potatoes, rutabaga, and parsnips). He gets so excited when I put him in his high chair. He makes all kinds of squeals of excitement!

SAY CHEESE!!!

This says it all!

Lobsta' Fishing

The highlight of our trip was going Lobsta' fishing. We were the only ones on the boat and got to help catch the lobster as we learned about the creatures. We set the bait, measured the lobsters to see if they were 'keepers', and banded their claws. When we got back to the dock, Captain Dave helped us take 4 of the lobsters we caught over to a restaurant for them to boil them up for us. Couldn't have tasted it more fresh from the sea!! What an experience to remember!

Dinner is served!

Our time with the Rodriguez Family

Our time in Maine was tons of fun! It was good to be with friends and enjoy the sights of Maine. We went hiking, saw some beautiful scenery, walked around Old Portland, went lobster fishing...and eating, and visited a quaint coastal town called Ogunquit.

Here we are at the Arethusa Falls in the White Mountains of New Hampshire. What a hike uphill with rocky terrain and babies aboard!! We made it up and back down the mountain safe and sound!

Another Airplane Ride---off to Maine!

We flew to Portland, ME to visit the Rodriguez family. Here we are heading to see them on our travel day last Saturday. Owen did great traveling, once again. He has become quite the travelor this month!

Daddy, are you sure this plane is safe??

Smooshed, Sleepin, Snoozin...oh so sweet

More pictures to come....we fly home tomorrow!

Daddy's P.J.'s

These are p.j.'s that Daddy wore when he was Owen's size!

4 Months...Where did the time go??

Owen is already 4 months old! He is showing more and more of his fun personality. He loves talking and squealing with excitement. He wants to put everything in his mouth. He slobbers like crazy. He rolls from his belly to his back. When laying down on his back he picks up his head as if to do crunches---he wants to sit up so badly! He grabs onto his toys--and they go directly to his mouth, of course.

Here are the stats from his 4 month Dr. appt:

Weight: 15 lbs 7 oz (60th percentile)
Height: 25.5 inches (75th percentile)
Head size: 10th percentile
He's a healthily growing boy!!

Goofy Faces

"I WILL get those things that fly in front of my face all the time!"

"Hoooo" ~Cranin' my neck to get out the most sound possible

Yikes! I'm not so sure I like that camera flashing at me anymore!
