Starting a garden (fingers crossed)

We are trying to start some seeds early this year.  Lilly and Owen helped me plant the little greenhouse last week.  We will keep our fingers crossed and see what we can do!

If you need the baby to stay in one place...

..put him on the trampoline.  He loves to sit up a tad higher and watch the events around him.

Book Worm

Lilly has discovered a love for books lately.  She will sometimes be found with a pile of books, flipping through the pages.  She always has a stack to look at while we are driving in the car, too.

Happy (early) Easter

We went to the mall today after church today because there was a little tractor show there. And guess who happened to be there??

We attempted to get one of just the kids with the Easter Bunny, but the older two were frightened by the big bunny...so it ended up being a family shot. :)

Snowy Day!

Yesterday was a SNOW DAY--well for all the surrounding schools--but we took advantage of the snowfall and played outside for a couple of hours!

Gibby wasn't too kean on the snow quite yet.  He preferred to go inside and take a nap while we played.

Build, create, Build

Owen's creations just keep getting more and more elaborate and complex. I love seeing his little mind put things together and create different designs with his ideas.

Introducing "Puzzle Man" and "Hangnail King"

Owen did about 10 puzzles the other morning. While working on one of the puzzles, he stopped and looked at me and said, "Mom, I'm the puzzle man and the hangnail king!"

Haha, those are 2 names we have called him before, but never in the same context.  But seriously, he has been loving puzzles and has more hangnails than anyone I have ever known!

Homemade Pretzels--Yummy!

After recovering from the flu bug and disinfecting, we all needed some fun. So, yesterday we set out to make homemade pretzels for a special snack. But the whole process took longer than expected, so it ended up being up lunch instead.  No complaints about that one. :)

Owen and Lilly helped do everything and were completely into it the whole time.  They helped mix the ingredients, roll out and shape the dough, dip the dough in a water bath, salt the pretzels, watch them bake...and, of course, EAT the yummy morsels!
