Ryder and Owen enjoyed a day this past week playing like mad on our new playset and taking time to eat chocolate covered banana popsicles for a snack. It was a perfect day with good friends!

A Good Way to Start a Bday

Yes, Jimmy's birthday was a couple weeks ago. But my boys so enjoyed their breakfast in bed that I had to post them, even though it is much belated. Owen helped me deliver Daddy his surprise birthday breakfast in bed. He saw how much Daddy was enjoying his food and thought he ought to join him. Of course, I obliged.

Little Gardener

Owen helped me pick our first picking of peas this week. He loves to go in the garden, but I'm not sure the plants enjoy him treking through.

We developed a little system in order to preserve the pea plants and future picking opportunities: Mommy holds the plant and shows Owen which pea to pick. Owen pulls (usually quite vigorously) the pea off the plant and puts it in his bucket.

The boy surprisingly likes the peas raw straight out of the garden or steamed at dinner.
