8 mo.--Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Owen's first experience with snow!

Our little guy is already 8 months old...he is bundles of fun! Here's some of the things he is doing these days: babbling like he's carrying on a conversation with you, uses b, d, and g sounds, trying to become mobile (getting up on all fours then falling to his tummy), loving table food and feeding himself finger food, loving to stand up using the furniture, sleeping well at night, playing peekaboo with me (using his silky) when I go to get him from his crib after naps

Owen's first Christmas

It was fun to see how Owen reacted to opening gifts. He didn't know what to do, but with some practice he started to get the hang of it. Although he usually got distracted by the wrapping paper--wanting to eat it, instead of finishing unwrapping.

Owen is definitely not shorthanded in the toy department. He was given lots of new and fun entertainment, and even some toys to grow into, too. Thank you, Grandmas and Grandpas, Uncles, and Aunt!

Owen's Dedication

It is Jimmy and I's desire to raise Owen up in a way that is honoring to the Lord. On December 6th, we made this commitment in front of our church family. We were blessed to have all of our family there to share in this special day. How awesome to have such a heritage of faith....may it only grow stronger!

Okay, Okay....so I've been TERRIBLE about updating this. A whole month + has gone by since I've updated about what our little Owen is up to. Much discovery has taken place over the past 4 weeks...Here's a little bit of a snap shot from everyday life happenings here at the Hankins household.
